These little babies!

Baby Burpee's
[3 for 15$]
I just wanted to take a minute and remind you that I make these little burpee's. My mom [who is the best] sent me a whole box of new fabrics, lots of: the vintage workshop, moda home and some of the sweetest, softest cowboy flannel by micheal miller. It is to die for! These fabric's would make the cutest celebrate banner too! Ohhh I can't stand it, I need to get busy.
Anywho, these burpee's make great gifts and are quite durable not to mention my sewing is getting better! Yipee!
Ok, check back often, I have some fun stuff in the works. If anything catches your eye let me know! You can e-mail me at arsnow@hotmail.com or if you know my cell give me a text. If you would like my cell, just e-mail me and I will give it to you! That seems to be the fastest way to get me.
Love to you all*****Amie*****

Little bit o'fall

*SOLD*
pumpkin candlestick
[17$]
I have been a little slow lately. But I did manage to make this cute fall decoration. I love how it turned out. It is an artificial pumpkin with pussy willows adorning the top. A large wood candle stick with an antique doilie, with fall beaded garland wrapped around it. Super simple but really catchy. And as always, one of a kind and made with love! Hope you are all doing well!

Sigh.................

It was a wonderful fall break.
I truly love Autumn. It is my time of year.
To breathe, to laugh and to reflect on all that means so much to me.
We went to one of Scott's most favorite places in the world this last weekend. It was cool, and quiet. All of the things my body craves at the end of a long hot summer.
It was well worth the drive.
Now we are home, I am sitting here getting ready to concoct this weeks menu, then tackle the grocery store. My least favorite job to do as a mother. So I can cook dinner. My favorite job to do as a mother.
My house is quiet, my dog is asleep beside me. My motivation has decided not to come to work today.
Happy fall.

**CELEBRATE**

Celebrate Banner
[40$]
I really need to make one of these for myself! I love how this turned out!
For each one of our Birthdays my husband stays up late and decorates the house for the birthday girl/boy. He always hangs a little mylar banner that says celebrate on it. It has become quite the tradition and the kids look forward to it year after year!
This banner is a little more permanent than our old mylar one. My friend Jodi ordered this one and it turned out so cute! I know I am bragging but I am really proud of this. So forgive me, please?
Anywho, I can custom design one of these babies for you to use for the Birthday's in your home! Jodi wanted hers in black and white to go with any celebration in her home. But if you wanted specific colors just let me know via e-mail when you order. arsnow@hotmail.com Make sure to click on the photo so you can see a better view! Love ya!

I can't help myself!

Another Little Treat

[panini aka nini]
Thought you might like this too, I don't care if you are a cat lover or not. You must agree this is one cute cat.

Scrumdilliumptious!

I have disappointed myself today. I wanted to badly to finish my scary oval frame and didn't get it done. So I thought I may redeem myself by sharing with you what I did get done. I have a few different pumpkin bar recipes but this one is by far the best! I stole it from a friend in Idaho years and years ago and it has never ever failed me. So without further adieu here it is.

Pumpkin Bars

6 eggs
2 2/3 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups oil, I know I know it is a lot just hold yer horses, it is worth it
3 cups pumpkin
3 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. Cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Beat together eggs, sugar, oil, pumpkin. Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and soda. Mix the two mixtures together. Beat well, spread into an ungreased cookie sheet. The big kind we all use. Like a jelly roll pan. bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes

Cream Cheese Frosting

8 oz cream cheese
1 cup butter
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar

Cream the cheese and butter until smooth. Add powd. sugar a little at a time while still mixing. Beat until smooth.

Am I forgiven? I hope so.

Oh and by the way.........

One more quick post. I am stalling because there is laundry piled on my bed and Scott went upstairs first so he will have to move it. Muahahahaha. Anywho back to my original thought. My candelabra sold [thanks Kate] but I came across a Halloween one today, 3 tiers same as mine but not near as unique and original as mine for 4 times the cost! That was helpful to me to see that because I was nervous about pricing things. I want them to be affordable but worth my time. After seeing that I felt like I am just right.

Ok, that's all, love to you all and good night!

Check this out!

Oh my goodness! I am in Halloween Heaven! I came across this blog tonight and I just had to share it with you! http://www.christmastraditions.com/Themes/HWeen/VintHall/VinHal.htm There is anything Halloweenie you could ever, ever, ever wish for. Just keep scrolling and you can find any vintage, repro item that has ever been made. Lori Mitchell an artist that my friend Kate turned me onto has the cutest little dolls. They really are adorable. So I hope you take the time to look, it will be worth your while. By the way, I found this link through a blog called A nostalgic Halloween, it was pretty amazing too.

I just love this time of year, I really do. It is starting to feel like fall here. At least for Arizona anyways. I need to get to bed, there is a black, oval picture frame up there just waiting for me to put the picture in it! Maybe tomorrow?????

[as always, thanks for reading]

[[you should see what I found today for Christmas, to die for, I promise]]

Cupcakes

Wool Halloween Cupcakes
[major cuteness factor]
6 for 30$
Ok. I love these. I make some for pin cushions but these I use for decor so I am able to use felt instead of wool. To be perfectly honest with you, these were the first set I made last fall, but I made a bunch for friends last year and they were even cuter than these! And I love these. If you don't want to order 6 let me know, we can work something out. Thanks for peeking!

Maybe an explanation? Just because?

vintage baby burpee's
{3 for 15$}
I love vintage, I always have. As a teenager I would long to grow up in 30's and 40's. My mom in her no nonsense way would explain to me that things weren't always as they seemed back then. That I should be grateful to grow up in a time where people were created equal, the civil rights movement had passed and for the most part people in this country were given equal opportunities and so on. I think she had a point, but I still have always been in love with the[ idea ]of that generation.
So needless to say I was tickled pink with the fact that this era and all of the romanticism that goes along with it is making a come back. What in the world does all of this have to do with burp cloths you say? Well I am not sure, but I do know that vintage is what inspires me as history has always inspired me. I love old things, to touch something, to feel it's story of what is was and where it has been. Call me crazy but this is what makes me tick.
These burpee's are what I started with. I will always have some on hand if you need a quick but sentimental baby gift give me a holler. I will send them your way packaged up and ready to give.
Thanks for letting me ramble, I think I will go listen to a little Glenn Miller, I am in the mood for a little Chatanooga Choo Choo.

Something wicked this way comes...........

This is just a sneek peek at what I am working on next. Can you guess what I am going to do with these? I will give you a clue, one you will see yourself and one will make you shake in your boots!
**A note, if you want to purchase anything just e-mail me at arsnow@hotmail.com and I would be happy to work out our transaction. I am happy to ship, I would just have to add on shipping expenses. I look forward to your feedback, please let me know what you think!

And sew it begins

I am having some difficulty posting my pictures. So bear with me and trust me that these finds are truly magnificent! I am selling these treasures and will sell more as I find them. I am happy to send clearer and larger pictures over e-mail until I figure this whole bloggy thingy out. You see I have been a huge fan of the blog world for years, it is like my morning cup of coffee but have never wanted to have one of my own. Due largely to my inability to operate a computer! So this is definitely going to be a stretch for me and Maddie my computer tech gal who is also my 12 year old daughter.

So anyways back to my treasures, the first being this fantastic old sewing machine that I snatched up at an antique store in Globe Arizona. It is altogether creepy but says so much. I have a ghostly piece of gauze that is being stitched by the invisible seamstress who operates this machine of the past. Glittery spiders and their webs adorn this piece to make it all together spooktacular!

Sewing machine is 20$, spiders placed by McCormick........priceless

Counting Crows, 22$ for both
[sold]
{and I didn't buy them}
**but i wish i did**

I wish you could see these!
But I will do my best at describing them. I would use this as a centerpiece for my table. 2 black glitter candles accompany 2 black candle sticks covered with spooky black gauze with a glittery Halloween greeting. To top this arrangement off, 2 little glittery green spiders with a gloomy black sunflower make it Halloween glitz! [the whole arrangement for 15$] BoO!

*SOLD*
Creepy Candelabra
[20$]

I love this piece so much. It is a tarnished silver 3 tiered candelabra, with candles, flowers and ghoulishly ghastly gauze. Of course glitter spiders and their webs are atop the candles.
I
I am selling my cute glitzy spiders, in green, black or both!
[5 for 1$]
