I Talk the Talk..........

I usually don't have very many positive things to say about living here in Arizona. I know, I know this is not news to most of you I have never been shy about this matter. However, there are many things here that I really do love. Putting aside our wonderful friendships that we have made over the years. That is too easy. We have been blessed when it comes to friends that is for sure!

1-I love the lizards. I think they are so cute, especially the baby ones on my tree out front. They are so tiny!

2-I love the bike trails, along with the long season we have to ride bikes.

3-I love my hummingbirds. They are all over. When I let my feeder run out, I have a coup on my hands. I love all the birds down here, we get so many unique and interesting ones.

4-I love the movie theatres. This is quite a luxury. The kick back seats, refillable popcorn and soda's. That is living. And not to mention they have flavors to flavor your popcorn with. That almost puts me over the edge.

Well I am sure there is more, I will think of them. But for now I want to go read my book.

Slow Speed Humps Ahead

Some funny facts about this strange state that I live in. They do not have speed bumps here in AZ. They have speed "humps". Does anyone else think that is funny? When we first moved here I had to stop and take pictures of the speed hump signs cause I thought it was so funny. I can't help but start singing Black Eyed Peas My Humps every time I pass one. It just kills me.

The DMV (department of motor vehicles) is known here as the MVD (motor vehicle department). Scott had to talk to the MVD last week and kept calling it the DMV. Apparently the lady at the MVD didn't appreciate him calling it the DMV and kept correcting him. Well Scott being in the throes of tax season needed someone to chew out(watch out telemarketers) and kept on calling it DMV. Needless to say he didn't get his question answered but we got a little laugh about Arizonans and their MVD.

This morning I was watching the local morning show and they were covering a piece on poaching large game animals, the reporter was standing in front of the Game and Fish Dept. Excuse me? The game and fish department? I had to call Scott. I think everywhere else in the free world and maybe a few other places it is known as the fish and game department.

Too Funny. Sorry Arizona, I love ya 6 1/2 months out of the year but there are times when you leave me speechless. Which as most of you know is very hard to do.

PS) I have been in slacker mode and haven't posted my give away, contest, necklace picture yet. Sorry. I need to get my creative juices flowing, they are kind of on hold. But don't give up on me! I will be back.
