I've Gotta A Feeling.............

This is so fun to watch! I tried to download it but I can't get it to download. So follow this link and then watch as over 5,000 people dance all together. I made me a kickin playlist to walk to or clean house to. It rocks. I am off, I have lots of burpee's to sew for my new grand nephew and my friend Jen's little baby.

I also want to get started on some jewelry with Meliss. Our stuff from Hong Kong came. Woo Hoo. More is coming friends. More is coming.

A Perfect Day

My friend Heather came for a visit.

It was a wonderful 2 days. On Friday we had one of those days that was just fulfilling. Do you have those days? I love days or even moments when you just don't want it to end? It was just a good day.

I picked Heather up in Scottsdale on Friday morning. I took her to see this movie. It was even better the 2nd time. I just loved it. As did she. We cried. But so did alot of ladies. Yes, it is a lady film.

We then went to H&M in Scottsdale. That was fun although as you may know I am no fun to shop with. (at least for clothes that is) Heath found some really cute things. I gave her good advice or at least opinions. I enjoyed that.

Then we went to LeGrand Orange and seriously, it was the best pizza I have ever had. As was the Thai Chicken Salad. For reals. I need more. Go there. They seat for dinner at 4, but you can order in the grocery section and eat at the pizza counter. So fun!

Then we headed to this part of Phoenix which I have recently discovered. So so so fun! It is my kind of shopping, as is Heather's and pretty much most of my friends. (We are friends and share common interests, right?)Central Phoenix (arts district), and antique mecca. Ohhhhh, so fun. We went to Smeeks, Frances and then my most favorite store in the whole wide world. It is called Melrose Vintage. The thing I loved about Melrose Vintage is that it had new shabby, used antiques, beautiful and lush fabrics and my favorite part was vintage papers, ribbons and scrapbooking supplies. This store is a must! But they are only open Weds-Sat, a good thing to know.

I could go on and on, we really did have a wonderful time and weekend but Friday was just a good day.

Remembering

Silhouettes

******SOLD******
I couldn't resist these when I saw them! For some reason they reminded me of my Grandparents on my Dad's side. I don't know how old they are or anything else about them except that that are 6 " in diameter. They could be used for Valentines or all year long.
Stay tuned, there is more to come!

Put a little love in your home. This hanging is made of metal and is 22 inches wide by 10 1/2 inches tall. I've embellished it with some glitter toole topped with red pom poms then finished off with white rick-rack. It is super duper cute!

Mes amie

[SOLD]
This turned out really neat. I've had this mouse pad of all things for a few months and finally was able to come up with an idea for it! Sorry it is taken and not by me! But I did want to show it off.
Love Amie

A Better Look.....

I thought this was a better angle. Enjoy!

My Funny Valentine...........

Valentine Candy Dish
[12$]

This little dish use to be a candle holder a long time ago. It was pretty beat up, but upon looking at it I saw potential. And you know what? It turned out pretty darn cute. It measures 9 inches across, so it's bigger than it looks in the pictures. And the best part is, the candy all from Smeeks [the cutest candy store ever] comes with it! Don't miss out!

Valentine Wall Hanging
[9$]
****SOLD****

This is an old kitchen bunt/tart baking pan. I took the cutest little Valentine and placed in in the middle with Melissa Frances paper in the background. I hole-punched the tin and tied a bow on top and finished it off with a few embellishments. Super duper cute and as always, one of a kind!
By the way, if you would either of these items here's how to let me know.

Watch Out!

I have been waiting for my watch parts all week long! 500 of them! Oh wow that's 250 for Meliss and 250 for me! I kept looking in my mail box for the key! You know the key that you get when you get a large package, one that contains 500 pieces of watches. Oh the anticipation and joy when today I pushed aside the other mail ,late Christmas cards and such when my hand felt something. Although it couldn't have been the plastic key holder that holds the package key. Ohhhh, ohhh my heart was racing. When low and behold I spied the corner of an envelope, a mailing envelope. Ok, it's ok, mailing envelope good. But this mailing envelope was tiny, half the size of the smallest mailing envelope. Surely this couldn't be my watch movements.

Yup, it's my watch parts. All 500 of them right in the palm of my hand.

So onward! I have ideas! I have glitter! Stay tuned, I need to get busy!

By the way, I snuck up to Scottsdale today to see the movie The Young Victoria. It is now in my top 5 favorite movies. I loved it, loved it, loved it. I cried. I laughed. Go and see it. You will love it.

Happy New Year's My Friends

This is steampunk jewelry. My friend Meliss and I ordered a bunch of fun watch movements and charms, metal flowers and lots of other goodies this week off of ebay and etsy. Meliss makes beautiful bracelets out of lampwork beads and would like to expand her jewelry making skills to include pieces of jewelry like this one I have shown you

I on the other hand still have clocks in my bonnet and really want to create fun collages and turn old clocks into pieces of art. I also want to incorporate metal flowers into my works some how. I know I am taking a while and I'm sorry but Scott man doo has had the week off and I have been enjoying him and the kiddos. Well Cormie and Scott mostly. Teenage girls not so much. I have set some great New Year's resolutions, one of which includes this blog. I want to keep working and growing with it. I love to create, it is really good for me. Another more personal resolution is my weight. I have to make this change, for me. Wish me luck, love Mamie.
