Month for Thanks......Day 7

Stephanie and Christian Nielsen.
When I awoke this morning I thought "I wonder if I am going to get to meet Nie Nie today". I am truly grateful for this sweet woman and the difference she has made in my life.
Here is the story.......
So this weekend was the weekend of Amie. I spent last evening with my girlfriends at a boutique that was so much fun! I didn't buy anything except guitar pick earrings for Meg for Christmas. But then I gave them to her early cause she was having a hard day. Anywho, back to the story. I saved my money for today, today was Blissfest. Blissfest is amazing. It is in downtown Mesa. It is really heaven for those who love beat up treasures, each with a story of their own to tell. I love it. My family loves it and my friends love it. It is just...........indescribable.
So last years Blissfest was in honor of Stephanie Nielsen. The amazing woman/blogger who was in a horrible plane crash in August 2008. She used to live down here in Mesa but moved back to Provo Utah to be closer with her family. Her story has changed me. I came across her blog not to long after her accident and spent hours reading past posts laughing and crying. She just makes life seem precious. And that was before her accident. Her stories of her children and her love for her husband are so fun and inspiring. I am sure I am among thousands of adoring fans when I say I truly love this woman. I followed her recovery through her sisters blog, CJane until January of 2009 when Stephanie started blogging on Nie, Nie again. She is my morning cup of coffee. I get up, fix breakfast and lunches get out my laptop and sit down to Nie and Cjane. When reading them I always feel inspired. I feel like being and doing my best for the day. I just love them. Especially Stephanie.
So you can imagine today when standing in a boutique and glanced over and saw Stephanie's husband Christain. I knew Stephanie had to be close by. I looked at my friend Meliss and said that I had to go see her, Meliss agreed and we did. My little Maddie came too, we were the first ones to greet her so she wasn't inundated with people yet. I wanted to just hug her but I was afraid I would hurt her. She is a little fragile, but you know what? She hugged me, I didn't even have to say anything she just gave me the biggest hug. Then the diarrhea of the mouth set in and I couldn't shut up. I just talked and talked. I told her that I would rather hug her and talk to her than any other celebrity. And that was the truth. Now hear this: Those of you that know me KNOW how much I love Brad Pitt. But I wouldn't have traded this little encounter with this beautiful couple than a whole evening spent with Brangelina. I truly mean it. Meliss was crying, I was crying. I am sure we were scaring the pee out of them. But they endured and we were fulfilled. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. If you aren't a fan of Nie's check out her blog, there is a button on my side bar. you wont be sorry. I am grateful for Stephanie, she really is the most beautiful person I have ever met. It was a good day{spoken in my amazing Scottish accent}!
